Sea Foam Mugs

One mug seen from the front, dark splashes showing through the pale turquoise glaze. The second mug, its glaze pooling more thickly down one side. The pair together, both showing the deep brown interiors.

Made during an Artist in Residence at Alchemy Art Center on San Juan Island, from a dark clay body fired at midrange. The pale turquoise outside breaks and pools like foam over darker splashes, and it complements rather than competes with the plain brown interior.
