Black and Silver Multistrand Necklace

The necklace laid flat, black strands running plain around the back and massing into silver and white at the front.

The necklace worn, patterned ceramic cylinders sitting at each shoulder above the layered strands.

Silver pieces and African black and white beads mixed with black seed beads, framed at the shoulders by recycled black and white geometric ceramic cylinders. Restricting the palette to two values makes it read as one shape at a distance and as many small parts up close.
